Established in
Jeddah on
Novemeber 01,
2002, our
seasoned
application
engineer along
with other
qualified
personnel were
sent to Dr.
Bruno Lange
facilities in
Dusseldorf,
Germany to
attend an
intensive
service training
on Dr. Lange's
process
instruments for
wastewater
applications.
Back in Jeddah,
we purchased a
brand new medium
built closed van
and converted it
into a mobile
water quality
gauging
laboratory
fitted with
selected high
end laboratory
and on-line
monitoring
instruments to
serve as on-site
demo units for
municipal and
industrial
wastewater
treatment
plants.
In early April
2003, our mobile
water quality
gauging
laboratory
rolled up to its
first tour to
Sewage Water
Treatment Plants
owned and
operated by the
Ministry of
Water &
Electricity in
Jeddah, Taif,
Madinah, Tabuk
and in Yanbu.
Our mission is
to expose the
state of the art
on-line
monitoring
systems that
eliminates of
excessive
necessity of
time, reagents
and manpower in
gauging the
quality of the
plant's influent
and effluent.
After covering
thousands of
kilometers and
spending days in
Makah, Madinah
and Tabuk
regions, our
Mobile Water
Quality Gauging
Laboratory and
its crew started
touring the
Central, Al-Qassim
and the Eastern
regions where
larger capacity
sewage treatment
plants has to be
found. Ignoring
the summer heat,
our crew
traveled
thousands of
mileage and
spent days,
weeks and even
months to
fulfill the
demand of the
government
SWTP's to
on-site process
instruments
demonstration.
In early 2004,
our Process Line
Division
non-exhausting
commitment and
never ending
dedication to
the global
environmental
issue began when
orders after
orders of
on-line
monitoring
instruments for
wastewater
applications
came into our
hands.
UV Dissolved
Organic Probe
The UV dissolved
organic probe is
a reagent-free
continuous
monitoring
system installed
at the
Sewage Water
Treatment Plant
(Min. of Water)
in Buraidah, Al-Qassim
Region. It
continuously
monitors the sum
parameter (BODuv)
of the plant's
effluent prior
to disinfection.
The BOD is
maintained to a
measurement
level of 2.0 to
6.0 mg/L.
To ensure the
system's
accuracy, BOD5
test results in
wet chemistry is
correlated into
the system by
our Service
Engineer that
conduct the
scheduled
preventive
maintenance as
part
of our
Process-Line
Division's
sales/service
policies.
Suspended
Solids /
Turbidity Probe
The self-cleaning SOLITAX TSS/Turbidity probe has been installed in
the final
effluent of the
Sewage Water
Treatment Plant
in Buraidah, Al-Qassim
Region.
This datalogging
system is almost
maintenance-free
and does not
require
calibration. The
output signal
can be routed to
a distance of
1000 meters to
the
control room via
its RS232/MODBUS
interface card.
Ultrasonic
Sludge Blanket
Monitor
The SONATAX
ultrasonic probe
and Display &
Controller
Interface is
installed
in one of the
clarifiers of
the Sewage Water
Treatment Plant
in Al-Hassa,
Eastern Region.
The Ministry of
Water plans to
acquire seven
units of the
same for the
remaining
clarifiers.It
should be
equipped with
wireless radio
transmission to
route its
analog signals
to the control
room.
They are also
interested in
acquiring four
units of SOLITAX
probes to
monitor
the TSS of their
final effluent
that flows
directly to the
irrigation
network.
Optical
Dissolved Oxygen
Probe
The latest of
Hach-Lange's
state of the art
LDO (Luminesence
Dissolved
Oxygen) probe.A
digital
technology that
eliminates the
head aches of
traditional
dissolved oxygen
probes.
No calibrations
and frequent
cleaning
required.The LDO
cap maintains
its
factory set
cali-bration
regardless of
the sample
pressure, flow
and temperature.
The universal
sc100
controller/dispay
interface can
handle two LDO
probes at a
time and
displays the
test results
simultaneously.
The North Sewage
Water
Treatment Plant
(Min. of Water)
in Riyadh
initially
ordered four
LDOs and
additional of 14
units is under
process to
replace their
aging
traditional
dissolved
oxygen probes.
